Key Tronic has sharpened the mind of its keyboard and created the Smart Card Keyboard. When you choose the Key Tronic Smart Card Integrated Keyboard, you're choosing superior quality, competitive pricing and product flexibility like no other manufacturer in the OEM market. Key Tronic Secure Smart Card Keyboard integrates a PC/SC compliant smart card reader onto our popular high quality KT2000 104-key keyboard. As an access-control device, smart cards make personal and business data available to only certain users; they provide data portability, security and convenience. With the increase in Internet-based transactions and network security applications, the keyboard is a natural location for the smart card reader. Key Tronic provides the hardware solution to support your SmartCard software. This attractive keyboard is both sleek-looking and highly functional. Its 104-key layout comes with standard return and has laser-marked keycaps with 20 million life cycles per switch. Additionally, it includes Windows application keys, a 16-pin contract connector which supports both standards, and a card presence LED indicator light. Its integrated micro controller handles both the Smart Card and keyboard functions reducing overall cost. The card accept device is a slide type capable of 10,000 cycles minimum. It also features a personal identification number (PIN) entry to secure all important documents and files.
